A friend of mine gave me a large bottle of this toner, and I have to say that it is definitely not, by far, my favorite. I was hoping it would help clear up my severe acne from my high school days, but all I was left with was dry, flaky, irritated skin. I used this on and off for about a month, hoping my skin would adjust to it, but it never did. This toner smells strongly like alcohol, and burned my skin when I applied it with a cotton swab. I noticed immediately after that my skin would be red and dry, and I had to double-up on my moisturizer to compensate for the drying effect this toner brings. Bottom line: For such an expensive product, I do not recommend this for someone with sensitive, acne prone skin, and especially not for someone on a budget. I would recommend the Simple line toner, or Witch Hazel! Both are gentle on the skin!

I personally have not tried many Clearasil products, but I decided to give this cleanser a go. It has a moderately rich, creamy texture with exfoliating beads, and foams up when rubbed into the skin. It may just be my sensitive skin, but I found this cleanser to be very drying. If I did not moisturize immediately after using it, my skin would feel tight, and I would see flakes of dead skin appear all over my face. My skin around my nose and mouth was especially red, dry, and irritated. I used this for about three weeks before I finally went back to my Neutrogena one. I would recommend this product for someone with oily to combination skin, or someone with acne, but NOT for someone with sensitive, acne-prone skin, as I found it to be very drying.

I first must say that I love Mario Badescu's line. It is of fantastic quality, and truly delivers amazing results. I am incredibly skeptical and picky when it comes to anything I use on my skin, as I suffered from severe acne all through high school. One of the products I turned to was this cleanser. I got a travel size of it at Ulta a few years back, and have been using it ever since! I will agree that it is a little pricey, but I honestly feel that the quality makes up for it. You only need a nickel-size amount, and used with a scrubbing brush, it really leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed! Pros: *smells great *gel consistency for easy use *gets makeup, dirt, and oil out of pores without over-drying *lasts a long time! *does not break skin out *leaves skin feeling soft Cons: *higher-priced, but worth it. *can dry skin out if too much is used at a time
