When my skin is at its best, Lancome Dual Finish covers perfectly. No shine, not too matte, just a nice evening of skin tone. The product doesn't perform as well, however, when my skin is dry. It settles into pores and (little) lines. However, it's still one of the best of the bunch, and there's a color light enough to actually match my pale complexion.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45
Blocks the sun - but still leaves you shiny
Wearing this sunblock on a daily basis all year round will protect your skin from the sun. Helioplex is fantastic like that. It's true that Dry-Touch won't leave you nearly as shiny as other sunblocks, but anything with an SPF this high is guaranteed to be thick and to leave some shine. I love this product, but it's still not pleasant to apply.

This may be the best moisturizer in terms of how it affects my sensitive, combination skin. It's very hydrating but not heavy. The ingredient list contains some of the best antioxidant sources and moisturizers available today. That being said, the texture is a problem. It would flake when I used makeup -- even if I waited for it to sink in. I stopped using it for a while due to the texture issue, but the benefits are so good that I just might start using it again!

I wanted to love this moisturizer. It's from Juice Beauty, a fabulous brand, and it contains a mineral sunblock. But it flakes off and it leaves skin looking white. I'm the palest person I know and the white coloring it left on my skin was still very noticeable. I still love Juice Beauty, and I really hope that they fix the texture issues with this product so that I might be able to use it.

Lune d'Or is my color. It has the perfect amount of shine and the color is sheer enough not to overwhelm my extremely pale skin. My big complaint is the shape of the blush - the rounded "bubble" top is difficult when trying to apply product to a brush.

Not a particularly sticky lip gloss and it has (some) staying power. But hey, it's a gloss and it's not going to have great staying power. However, I'd buy it for Orgasm alone - the color is just fantastic and looks great on everyone.

This is the only drugstore mascara I've used that's actually separated my lashes. Literally -the only one. Since this product has come out I haven't tried the newer lash-separating mascaras, but so far I'm very happy with this product.

My lines are superficial, yes, but this product takes care of them. They're less noticeable and the texture of the product is very moisturizing. This has stopped the aging of the skin around my eyes in its tracks (hopefully for a while!) and it goes well under makeup.

Getting the right amount of sheen is important in a shadow, and these little pans deliver (I can't speak to the matte shades, though). Heat, cold, rain, dancing, carousing and this shadow doesn't budge, fading only slightly over the hours. The color selection, also, is fantastic.

Why this mascara is a favorite of so many makeup artists is beyond me. I keep foolishly giving it second chances and it keeps disappointing. The texture is very clumpy and does a bad job separating lashes. Once the mascara dries, it just starts flaking off. The brush does not lengthen lashes. I wish I could like Great Lash with its great rep and cute pink and green tube, but it's just a bad mascara.
