Two-three coats of this polish, with a top coat, and I have great nails for up to two weeks, and that's without pampering my hands (no gloves to do dishes, etc). It does take at least two coats, better with three. However once it's on it lasts and lasts! Very "chip proof". I like darker/red colors and the colors are very true to what's shown in the Avon brochure. I like OPI polish, but honestly this stuff is just as good - if not better - at a fraction of the cost.

Absolutely love the 24/7 glide on eye pencils. These are a little pricey, but one pencil will last a long time even with daily use, and for the quality the price is worth every penny. This eyeliner STAYS ON. There's no fading, smudging, and no wearing off during the day. Simply put this liner stays on until you take it off. Nice!! Also, these pencils provide very easy glide on color that can be applied as thin or wide as you like. Like other eye pencils these need a sharpener every so often. Word of caution; make sure the shavings go into the garbage can - any little bits that fall onto the floor/counter/sink will be a little tricky to clean up. Another plus is the packaging promotions offered; Urban Decay always has some sort of deal going where a selection of colors is available in one kit at a very reasonable price. Excellent way to try out a different color. These are generally not full sized pencils, however that's not so bad because the smaller sizes fit nice into a make up bag.

These are incredible eyeshadow pencils. Best feature is how easily they glide on! Very smooth application. Long lasting too.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes
Excellent shaping eyebrow kit, includes stencils
Very nice little eyebrow kit, everything EXCEPT TWEEZERS to shape brows, fill them in, highlight under the brow, etc. Included are step by step instructions on how to use the stencils and shape your brows. These instructions are printed on the inside of the lid and also on the plastic product protector. The kit includes several shapes of plastic stencils, these are well marked and labeled - because they're stiff plastic they can be tricky to hold in place while applying brow powder. The kit includes a nice brush, eyebrow wax, two shades of color, and two shades of eyeshadow/under brow highlighting powder. Basic use is this: Apply wax to the eyebrow, hold the stencil in the desired shape over the eyebrow area, and fill in the brows using the powder. I only use the stencils when I'm defining/plucking my brows - I put on an extra heavy amount of powder and then just pluck any stray hairs that are outside the powdered area. Ta da - perfect brows! My eyebrows are very, very fair so I use the powder every day and it really gives a natural look while defining my eyebrows. Easy to apply and I can put on as much or as little as I like. The kit's box is heavy cardboard with a magnetic lid, so it stays shut. Lots of attention to detail with this kit. It's a bit on the pricey side, but a good value considering what's all included. I took away a star because it doesn't include tweezers. Which isn't that big of a deal, but it does prevent it from being a "complete" eyebrow kit.

I'm a new and very big fan of Real Techniques brushes. One of my daughter's recommended these to me after these were recommended to her by a make up store employee. These are a great value and very high quality brushes - soft, well made, labeled for their purpose, and come in a nice carrying/storage case. Additional bonus is Real Techniques has a very good website with instructional videos. In terms of their use-ability, I'm an eyeshadow klutz. My eyes are on the smaller side so not a lot of space between the lash line and eye brow. Let me tell you, these brushes give me expert results every time, mainly because of how soft and flexible they are and the correct shape for each specific use.

Finally, a high quality make up brush that is reasonably priced!! One of the biggest reasons I did not like using powdered make up is the brushes - they would either fall apart, not pick the product, not apply well, etc. Anyone who has used brushes knows what I'm talking about. One of my daughter's recommended this brush - just as other reviewers say it's SOFT, applies powder perfectly, is a nice big size, and one bonus is that it has a flat bottom so it stands up for storage. Why aren't all powder brushes designed this way? Real Techniques also has an excellent web site with instructional videos. Nice!! If you shop a make up store that offers discounts/coupons these brushes are a fantastic deal, and they aren't very expensive to begin with. Soft, soft, soft brush - can't go wrong with this.

OK, *wow*. I have straight, fairly fine, shoulder length blonde highlighted/colored hair with some layers. I really like this jumbo 3-barrel curling iron, it absolutely gives me the look of a loose "tousled" perm without the damage (and cost!) of a perm. My hair isn't known to hold a curl, however when I use this appliance the waves stay well into the second day. It is a bit heavy (ok, this is a massive curling iron ha ha), and it took a bit of practice so that it didn't leave a "line" at the top. Use it with the barrel's facing up. When I'm in a hurry it works pretty well to grab sections of my hair and use this; when I want much fuller loose and airy waves I section my hair and curl smaller sections (bottom, middle, top). The volume added to my hair is *incredible*!! It looks for all the world as if I'd just gotten a nice, quality, airy perm. Love it!!

L'Oreal Paris Visible Lift Serum Absolute Advanced Age-Reversing Makeup
Little goes a long way; great coverage
I have a hard time finding a foundation I like, most are too heavy, goopy, or the color match is way off. However I LOVE this foundation. Hardest part about buying drug store foundation is getting a good match, but the shade I picked blends perfectly. I have fair skin, blonde hair, so I went with natural buff. I like the pump design because a very little amount of this goes a long way - just a little dab can be applied in several spots and blended. It seems a little heavy going on, but after a really short time it disappears into the skin and feels like no foundation at all. I notice a big diff in how my skin looks - gives it a "dewy" type glow, evens out my skin tone. I would definitely buy this again!

Nice little set with 3 sizes of rollers. There are only 6 large rollers, it would be nice if there were more larger rollers and less of the very small. It comes with color coded clips for each size; it does take some practice to place the clips so that they don't leave "dents" on the hair. There's no place on the set to store the clips which isn't that big of a deal, but it would be nice. It takes a good 15 minutes for the set to fully heat up so anyone looking for super-fast-heating rollers wouldn't be happy with this set for that alone. There is a color change dot on one of the large rollers to indicate the set is heated. The compact design doesn't take up much space, which is good cause there's no handle so the set isn't easy to carry from one place to the next. I wasn't looking to spend a lot on a set; this was about $20 at Target. I have below the shoulder layered fairly fine hair and these rollers give A LOT of volume! One of my daughters has long very fine hard to curl hair and these give her a good amount of body and wave. The curls/wave are a different look than those done with a curling iron so it's a nice change with the biggest plus being a lot more volume. One thing I really like about these rollers is how shiny and smooth they leave my hair. Zero frizz!!! As with any hot roller set it's a little tricky for hair with lots of layers. Only 8 stars because there's not enough large rollers, it does take long to heat up, and there's no handle for carrying or storage for the clips. However - for the price and how well these rollers work those aren't negative enough to make me regret the purchase.

I used this product to brighten my hair with a few highlights. My hair is medium blonde and already had some older light blonde highlights. I was very happy with the results from this product. Easy instructions, easy mixing (creme and powder), and the fingertip "brush" works well. As always, L'Oreal includes a tube of awesome conditioner. These are gentle highlights; the product isn't going to turn dark blonde hair platinum. I already have lighter hair and left the product on for 20 minutes and was happy with the result. I think if I'd left it on any less I might have gotten the dreaded underdeveloped "orange" tint. Overall a good product and I'd buy this again.
