Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser

love it, but with some reservations

ive used this for a few years now, and it was always very reliable for my combination type skin and always stopped my breakouts. i wish id used it earlier in my teens, when i'd been using the neutrogena oil free acne wash (did not work for me). so, biore worked really well for me the past few years but now ive noticed dry patches in some areas. i think it's a great face wash for your teens and maybe early twenties, but after that it gets a bit strong for mid-late twenties skin. all in all, a great product for breakout-prone skin!

My Great Hair Day began with GHD

My friend got me hooked to her GHD, which she bought in England, where it's the hottest thing ever. It doesn't require constant run throughs, or a long wait till optimal heating time. There aren't any complicated heat settings to choose from, and your hair is straight (obviously) and SHINY!! makes hair beautifully shiny. My hair is naturally wavy and a bit dry, and this is my go-to tool for any and every event. I have side bangs and I could not leave the house without this product! I let my hair airdry or just run a hairdryer through it quickly before using ie you dont need to blow dry your hair straight before using it, as is the problem with many flat irons. Celebs like Jennifer Aniston and Catherine Zeta-Jones use it too! Mine has dual voltage and a curved barrel so I can make perfect waves and curls if i want, which I have on occasion :) LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15

Works great once you master the application process. Yay MAC!

I'm not a big makeup person in terms of skin stuff, but I'm actually someone who seriously needs it because of old acne scars. This was something I bought a month before my wedding in anticipation of a lot of dinners and social events. I went from being very "meh" about this product to WOWW! "Meh": Initially I used it with my fingers, not knowing any better, and felt that it looked uneven and worse, I felt like i had Makeup on and felt like I looked odd. Made me feel pretty uncomfortable. "WOW": Then, about a month ago, I started experimenting with a synthetic brush using just a little bit of the makeup, and the results were astonishing! The coverage became smooth and beautiful, and looked just creamy and perfect. The Mac person gave me an NC40 (great selection of colors) and I'm extremely happy with the color match. I'm Pakistani-American, and this works well for me. I use the small brush all over my face, including the eye area where i blend a bit more. I do however look shiny around the forehead and chin area, as I realized later in some pics, so I would strongly advise topping it off with some Mac Studio Fix Powder, which sets it really well. MAC is awesome!

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover

Very highly recommended! Works fabulously well.

This eye make-up remover is an absolute gem. 1) BIG bottle. Lasts a whiiile. 2) TIP! I use it for my face too! I know, it's not what it's for, but after a long day when I'm too tired to wash my face i just use it to get makeup off my whole face. It actually works great! Gets all my Mac makeup off beautifully. 3) There's barely a fragrance, so it's great if you're bothered by that. People have said it stings but I've never had that problem. I've used this for more than a year, including when I got married in April and it got through some heavy usage, and it never disappointed me. 4) It's almost conditioning for your skin, if you do decide to use it on your face (see point #2) 5) IMPORTANT: body shop makes a WATERPROOF version of this one, so if you're using waterproof mascara/eyeliner/whatever, that's the one you should be purchasing. Don't use this on your waterproof makeup and then give it a bad review! this is a great product if used according to instructions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Can't you tell by the length of the review? :)

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Refining Moisture Cream Complex

Quenches skin, evens texture out. Lovely product!

I've been using this cream for about 3 months now. My sister gave me her new, full jar saying she bought it but thought it was too greasy for her face. My skin is generally quite dry, especially around the eyes and mouth. I use this after I wash my face and it makes a HUGE difference. My skin looks hydrated! and FEELS GREAT! I was complimented on my skin by my boyfriend's mom, haha. Works great with my Mac powder or liquid foundation which I put on after. I've tried L'Oreal, Nivea, and Oil of Olay creams for my face before, but they were either too thick (Nivea), or left my skin feeling like it needed more moisture even as less than ten minutes after application. This LASTS. I really am very happy with it. Major con for me is that it costs a bundle! I'm on the last quarter of mine, and went to buy another jar for the upcoming winter when I was in Canada, and it was like $78. So, when this one runs out, I'll be thinking long and hard about whether I can afford another one or not. Pros: WONDERFULLY moisturizing, lasts. Great quality stuff. Great for dry skin Cons: Heavy on the wallet.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Smoothing Stick

Good cover-up but not so good for acne

I'm not a big makeup person, and this was my first concealer (about a year back), and I've been using it since then. It has a nice creamy texture and works really well around my eye. It wears well throughout the evening. It covers well on the rest of my face too, but BEWARE if you have acne-prone skin! This almost always makes me break out when i use it on old scars on my cheeks! Regardless, I've continued using it for my eye area, and am going to look for something for the rest of my face. Suggestions welcome. Pros: nice creamy coverage, easy application. Great for eye area. Great value for money. Cons: causes breakouts on acne-prone skin
