I watch a lot of youtube beauty videos, and this was one of those products I had heard a ton of girls rave about over the years. I don't know why it took me so long to use it, because this is such an amazing mask! I use this product twice a week as a mask to deep clean my skin. This definitely helps calm my skin down and help prevent breakouts. I also use this at night as my spot treatment to really dry up any pimples I might have. This mask feels amazing on your skin, smells great, and it really feels like it is deep cleaning and for me it is very refreshing. It is so cheap too! Definitely worth a try if you have not tried this yet!

I got this product hoping it would fade some of my pink acne marks on my face. Unfortunately this product did absolutely nothing for them whatsoever. This mask actually broke me out as well. It leaves a slight film over your skin, that no matter how many times you rinse, it will not go away. I had to learn to use a facial scrub right after this mask, just to get that film off. After I learned to do this, I no longer broke out from this product. I wish it had worked for me, because this mask smells amazing! I would not repurchase this.

I got this product after I had seen it raved about on youtube and in magazines. Everyone made it sound like this miracle product that would completely dry and clear up your pimples overnight. For me though, it acted just like any other spot treatment would. It would dry up my pimples just a tiny bit, and that's it. For me this was not as amazing as everyone said, and I am not sure if I would even repurchase this. One of the reasons I think that people love this so much is that it does feel like it is doing something because it kind of makes your breakout sting a little bit. But overall this was just an ok spot treatment for me, and definitely not worth all of the hype.

I got this product when they used to sell mini sample sized containers of it, because I am always on the hunt for a good oil control product for my very oily skin. This was probably the worst one I have tried. It did not control my oil AT ALL. That said, it does smell nice, and the gel feels really nice on my face. Plus I liked that it had SPF, which not a lot of oil control products have that. I wouldn't purchase this again though because it did not deliver on its claim to control shine.

The Peter Thomas Roth Max Anti-Shine Mattifying Gel is just alright, like most of the other mattifying products I have tried. To start out this product is pretty expensive for such a small amount! But it takes very little to use on your face so it does last quite a while. This is also the weirdest formula of anything I have ever tried. It says it is a gel, but it is almost solid, kind of in balls. It does not squeeze out of the tube, I have to dig my finger into it, which is not sanitary, and it gets very difficult to get the product out. It feels nice on my skin though, very much like a silicone primer. It does not feel heavy on my skin. I don't wear foundation over it, just concealer and powder, so I am not sure how this would perform with foundation on top of it, but it says it can be used under, over, or without makeup. Overall this performs just ok. My skin feels very matte at first, but over time gets slightly oilier throughout the day. After several hours it tends to completely wear off, and by the end of the day I am super oily! I also suspect that this product might be breaking me out, but I am not completely sure. Overall, this product is just ok. I would NOT recommend this to anyone with super oily skin like me, but if you have combination skin this could be great!

I have used this product on and off for years because I just can't seem to find anything better. That said, this product is not that great, so that's why I keep looking for other products to help control my super oily skin. The Proactiv Daily Oil Control only controls the oil on my skin for a small amount of time. There is a definite difference in the oiliness of my skin when I wear this and when I don't. But my skin does start getting slightly oily almost immediately, although not as horribly as it would be if I were not to wear this product. And after a few hours this product is completely gone. A major plus though, is that this does not break out my very acne-prone skin at all. If you only have slightly oily skin, or combination skin I might recommend this. If you have very oily skin though, look elsewhere!
