Maybelline New York XXL Curl Power Volume + Length Microfiber Mascara

Horrible

I bought this because I thought "How wonderful, a mascara that curls, lengthens, and thickens my lashes!" Not at all what I got! First off the primer thats supposed to curl the lashes as well as thicken them is horrible. I applied it and it didn't coat my lashes evenly because it's so thick. I had to apply it two or three times to get all my lashes. Then I would apply the black mascara, it went on smooth with one coat, but didn't give good coverage, I could still see the white primer. Upon applying my second coat my lashes became clumpy and I suddenly turned into Tammy Faye Baker. Bottom line is it didn't curl, it didn't lengthen, and it didn't thicken anything. I was out $7 an very dissapointed.

Maybelline New York Define-a-Lash Lengthening Washable Mascara

Took some getting used to

I found that this mascara was great, if you have wonderfully thick curly lashes. As I do not, this product was only so so. The liquid is so thing and easily smudged until it dries that I needed at least three coats and a good lash curler to get the definition I crave. I also noticed a few hours after applying my eyes start to burn a little bit. Maybe an allergic reaction or it could have been the constantly "snow flake" like effect of the mascara crumbling into my eye. When I do a daytime eye it's nice though, two coats, very subtle.
