I received a sample of this in a beauty bag, and hesitated to use it due to my sensitive skin. I saw "retinol" and though, "irritation!" Luckily, I asked the Chantecaille product specialist about it. She said it was formulated so that it wouldn't be too aggressive. And sure enough, it is great. I use it at night to allow the formula to help repair the day's damage (at least I hope that's what's happening). You need maybe only a pump to pump and a half to do your entire face (avoid eyes) and neck. In the morning, skin is calm and hydrated. Pricey, yes, but the fact that it lasts so long and that I only use it at night means it lasts and lasts. It deserves a 10 for it's effectiveness and that's my vote.

Simply the best. Attractive price point, excellent pigment, nice array of colors. I have Torrid/Albatross, Deep Throat, Dolce Vita, Orgasm, and Madly. I have all I need for blushes and the best thing is that they last forever, since you need so little. Well deserving of all the accolades!

OK - I have usedmany brands of concealers. Everything from Maybelline to Sisley. And I am telling you this is The One. Expensive? Certainly. Lasts Forever? No kidding! Effective? ABSOUTELY!! When I asked my beauty counter buds to recommend a "Best of" list, this was one item they all agreed upon. As usual, I was skeptical. It looked no different than any other concealer and the lightest shade was too dark for me. Hold the phone! The product specialist applied it to my undereye erea and also on the remain of Mt. Vesuvius on my chin. WAAAAHHHHH! The agels sang! WOW. I was impressed. Everything was covered and it was virtually undetectable! I was sold. That was 18 months ago and I haven't even used half the tube! For any other brand, I would have bought at least two, if not more by now. The trick is to use VERY little ad blend blend blend. I use more of a patting motion than a rub. Seriously, I would have returned this immediately if it hadn't performed as it has. Well worth the steep price. If you are lucky enough to get to talk to a Cle de Peau specialist, make sure you get tips from them how to use it. You will not be disappointed. And yes, even though it's so pricey, it's so good as to warrant a 10!

I bought this mask after trying a sample. It was quite pricey, but I liked the results of the sample so I had to have it. Be careful not to get it in your eyes (or near them) as it will sting. I used this product to give my skin a bit of brightening after a long summer. My product specialist knows I have sensitive skin, so she recommended I use it for only a minute at first. That was good advice, as I started to feel a bit of a sting immediately upon the first application. It wasn't bad, though. I waited the full minute, then removed it. I expected my skin to be red and inflamed, but it just looked fresh. I use the product about every two weeks now, and I can last three minutes. It has never caused a breakout. As I mentioned, it is pricey, but no other product has worked as well. The jar will last a long time, but the price is why it gets a 9.

I have very pale skin and was skeptical when my product specialist tried to put this on me. It looked so dark in teh jar. Silly me. The gel formulation goes on much lighter than the way it appears in the jar. It covers well, but looks invisible. It just looks like my skin, only better! I love the easy-spreading texture and that I can use so little of the product, yet cover my whole face. This jar will last a very long time. Here's a hint - be sure to save the little clear cover that comes with it. This will aid in keeping it from drying out. The only thing I wish was differnt was that it had a way of delivering it without using my fingers in teh jar, maybe a pump? Perhaps the texture makes this impossible. Still rates a 10 for me!

I bought this after trying a sample from my hair stylist. I liked the texture - it was thick, but spread easily through my wet hair. I loved the fresh, subtle smell, too. I left it on for about two minutes, then rinsed it out. My hair was soft, shiny and very nicely conditioned. It is a bit pricey, but will last a long time, as I don't need much to cover my hair. I highly recommend it! It would get a 10 if it was $5 cheaper. :-)

What can I say that hasn't been said before. This product was recommended by cosmetics sales people and specialists who do NOT WORK FOR LA MER. They all agreed this is the best body cream available and I agree. The luscious texture, the staying power, the subtle scent, the effectiveness. All of these combine to make me say this is the best. I am so glad I was steered toward it. And I forgot to mention - a little goes a VERY long way. The jar keeps going and going and going. An investment? Yes. A delightful indulgence? Yes. However, it lasts so long that it is actually a good value, if you can outlay the price up front.

I was at my favorite La Mer coiunter recently and happened across the Lip Balm. What sold me first was the smell. So fresh and wonderful. Then I fell the incredibly smooth texture. I talked to the specialist and decided to invest in it. I have been very happy with it. As a professional flutist, my lips MUST be in top condition and this product helps them stay that way. I especially like to apply it during concerts, since it is invisible and not sticky at all. It keeps my lips from drying out and doesn't get all over my instrument. It also tastes good, although I try not to eat it. I love it and love the fact that although it was pricey, it is going to last a LONG time, because I use so little each time I apply. Great product. Thanks La Mer!

I bought this product to pamper my skin during the winter. The coverage is good, I would say medium. It lasts all day, maintaing coverage even on my ruddy cheeks. The texture is velvety, but not greasy or "pancakey.". However, the pump applicator is wasteful. Too much comes out with one pump and I end up washing product off my hands or my brush. I have had more success unscrewing the top and taking product off of the pump tube. The color is good--blends well.

This product seems almost miraculous. I have sort of fine hair that is quite straight and is basically "volume-challenged." When my hair stylist was going to use this on my hair, I thought she was crazy, and I thought I would have lank, greasy hair. But it is really amazing. She just used a tiny bit on my damp hair (tipped the bottle over with the palm pressed to the top). That small amount resulted in such shiny, smooth, CLEAN hair--I had to have it! It was $42, but it will last a very long time. It smells OK--really faint, but like the NARS body oil. I am a little concerned that it is marked "flammable." What's in this stuff? But overall I am really glad I got it.
