The women’s Gillette Venus Embrace razor has taken hair removal to the next level with its 5 blades and protective ribbon of moisturizer. This razor, which you can buy at most drugstores for around $13.00, hugs your curves while gliding smoothly over your skin’s surface and removing that unwanted hair. The replacement cartridges make changing the blades a snap, and can be bought for about $24.00 for a pack of 8 at your local drugstore. Before this, I had been using the Gillette Venus Divine razor, which is a similar model with 3 blades. I liked its performance so much that last month when it was time to pick up a new razor (I like to change mine out every year), the Gillette Venus Embrace caught my eye. While I was completely happy with the Divine model, I am even more impressed with the new Embrace. The extra blades help remove hair more effectively and with fewer strokes. I shave daily and change my blade cartridge every other week. Needless to say, when the Gillette Venus Embrace showed up on my doorstep to review, I already knew I loved the product. Boutique Flair approved - after all, silky smooth skin is one part of having a pulled together, stylish look!

ChapStick True Shimmer is our old friend with a hint of modern glam. We have grown up on ChapStick and have seen it lining the aisles of our drugstore check-outs for years. The release of the ChapStick True Shimmer line shows that this brand can keep girls (and their lips) happy! ChapStick proves its staying-power with the addition of sweet, shimmery flavors just in time for summer. I received the 2 older flavors, Peppermint Rush and Blended Fruit Sherbet, along with the newest flavors, Tropical and Botanical Berry. I really love them all. With just a touch of sparkle, these yummy flavors keep lips moisturized and soft. They can be worn alone for a natural look, or under your favorite lipstick to boost your lips’ hydration factor while adding a bit of glimmer. At around $2.79 per tube, these are affordable little must-haves for summer!

After L’Oreal sent a couple of these glosses for me to test, I found that there is a downside — the packaging. Unfortunately it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to open the pretty “Swanky†and “Trendy†glosses I had received. First, I wrongly assumed that the handy little handle at the top would assist me in pulling off the cap to expose the glorious gloss. Moving on, I fidgeted with areas at each end of the product which appeared to be hinges. Once again, I was bamboozled by what I had thought was attractive, fun packaging. I was finally surprised when I got to the makeup by pulling down on the wide part of the cap (is that really the cap?)! Once the treasure had been uncovered, I did find that the glosses were thick, moisturizing, rich in color and sweet and vinalla-sugary in scent. I also liked the fact that I could squeeze one color at a time, or mix them by squeezing both. Unfortunately, I also feel that the packaging failed this product yet again with its wide applicator which provides a sloppier application than I like. Overall, I believe the concept of this product is great; however, the packaging could use some work.

Overall, I like this product. I received this liner to review, and since I am used to a pencil or liquid liner, am still not confident in my application. I find the slightly flexible tip a bit awkward, so end up with more powder and smudge than I'd like once applied. However, I really like the colors. I've tested the navy and the gold and find that they are both very lovely with my blue eyes. The powder has a nice shimmer and provides a nice amount of pigment. This liner can be picked up at your favorite drugstore for around $12, With a bit more practice, I think I will enjoy this makeup due to its nice hue factor.

Despite it's waterproof attribute, this gloss delivers rich moisture and beautiful color. I have true red, and love the pout factor. The rich vanilla scent is fab!

Though I’m not a curly girl, I loved testing this product for a review. I really like the scent and consistency. Even without curls, I am enjoying the De-Frizz Creme, which has been wonderful in these early, humid days of spring.
