I'm truly not exaggerating here. I purchased these brushes over 4 years ago and I still have them. That is saying something. Brush staying power depends on the person that uses them and how they care for them, but as for me I wash my brushes with soapy water, lightly press the excess water out and then let them air dry and they are ready for next use. I love them, and when they don't do the job anymore, I'll replace them with more Kashuk brushes. They were very affordable and make great tools.
