  • Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Makeup Setting Spray

I was so disappointed when I tried this spray because I had read such great reviews online. I'm not sure if it was just my skin, or I got a bum batch of product but it was terrible. I liked the packaging just fine, and the sales rep at the store raved about how much he loved using it in the warm summer months here in FL because it really does keep your foundation from melting off. Well, not for me. I tried both the "All Nighter" and "De-Slick" setting sprays by UD and with both, but the end of a work day, everything had melted off or smudged on my face. This was actually the first setting spray I have ever tried so after this, I wasn’t seeing what the hype over them was. A friend of mine late introduced me to MAC’s setting spray and I fell in love. I would be willing to give this one more try (since I know much more about makeup now than I did back then) but I don’t see how I could love anything more than my Fix+.

    Urban Decay Grindhouse Sharpener

    Great little sharpener

My friend showed me this sharpener one day and initially, I thought she was crazy for spending so much on one. I was perfectly content with my cheap drugstore sharpener... Until I tried it. It really is a nice, quality sharpener. I ended up getting one for myself when it was on sale and I love it. With the first one I bought, the top popped open in my makeup bag and subsequently broke. But I took it back to Sephora and they were happy to replace it. I’ve had my new one for at least 2 years and it’s been wonderful. The blades must be super sharp because even after heavy use, it still works like a dream. I also love that it has 2 sizes. And while I’m sure UD doesn’t broadcast it, the larger sharpener is perfect for those thick pencils from other brands, too! Totally worth the extra $$ in my opinion!

  • Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation

Every so often I get bored (or entranced in Sephora) and I decide to try a new foundation. And without fail every time I think "Hmm... This isn't even close to the Make Up For Ever HD". I have tried just about every brand and ended up returning all of them for the tried and true MUFE HD. I LOVE the wide variety of colors. The coverage to me is wonderful. I like a lot of coverage (but not as much as the Kat Von D) and this one is just right. It seems a bit sheer for me at first, but a second layer just over my red spots and I'm good to go. Typically because I'm on the oilier side, I go for MATTE everything and dread the "dewy" look. This leaves a nice satin (almost dewy) finish that stays that way ALL DAY! Sometimes when I’m in a rush or if I forget my primer, it still lasts all day. It does have a tendency to move around my face a bit more, but I can’t blame the foundation for that! When used with a primer and a light dusting of finishing powder, gives a flawless, airbrushed-look to my skin all day!

  • Sephora Collection Moonshadow Baked Palette In The Dark

My favorite Sephora palette. I usually apply dry for a day-time look and then apply wet for a foiled night time look. All of the colors are great except for the dark blue on the bottom right. Its a beautiful color and wonderfully pigmented, but not realistic for a normal makeup look (in my opinion). It's too "runway". My favorite shade is the 2nd one in on the top. Its a lovely gold/champagne color.

  • bareMinerals Ready SPF 20 Foundation

I wanted to love this foundation. I had the highest of hopes. When I first purchased it, I went with the lightest shade (because I'm always the lightest shade) and it made me look ghostly. So I exchanged it for 2 shades down the color was perfect! I am extremely pale and am not accustomed to being anything more that “Shade 001” in most brands so this was a welcome surprise to me! But most regular shoppers should beware that this line runs lighter than the old Bare Minerals shades. Once I found my correct shade I started wearing the foundation to work every day. I noticed by the time I got home from work most nights it was splotchy on my face- even with the use of a primer. Believe me, I tried every primer under the sun. Typically I have extremely oily skin (so I was weary of mineral makeup from the start) but the original Bare Minerals foundation does not accentuate my oiliness. This did the exact opposite. It dried my skin out so much that my forehead and the fronts of my cheeks/nose were flaky within a few hours; and in the oilier spots on my face, the makeup had simply melted away. I ended up returning it extremely disappointed as I usually love Bare Minerals but this foundation just did not work for me.

  • tokidoki Perfetto Eyeliner

    tokidoki Perfetto Eyeliner

    Great Felt Liner!

I got 2 of these liners on an on-line Sephora clearance sale for a steal! ($3) I wish I would have bought 150 more. I got the black and purple colors and I'm in love. The purple is cutesy and fun, but very bright. It isn't really appropriate for work. The black is perfect for any occasion really. It can go from a thin line for professional setting (day time) to a thick winged liner (for nights out) in no time! The only con would be if you like to smudge your liner well after its applied. While this does allow you to do that for the first few (15?) seconds, in under a minute it is dry and not going anywhere. Some may see it as a con vs a pro. Personally, I love it because I have been a long-time sufferer of the "3 pm Raccoon Eyes" and now I don't have to worry!

  • Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil

This is my favorite eyeliner. For a while I was hooked on the Kat Von D tattoo liner, but I keep coming back to this. I find it very similar to UD's 24/7 pencils- only with more staying power. It goes on extremely smooth and smudges for about 30 - 60 seconds after applying to create a great smoky eye. After that, it won't budge for hours. No raccoon eyes with this stuff!

Emilio Pucci Vivara Eau de Parfum

    My Favorite perfume

This is by far my favorite perfume I have ever owned. I came across it one day while shopping in Sephora. It was a tad pricey but I decided to go for it because of its unique scent. I am so glad I did!! The staying power is unbelievable. I use 2 sprays lasts ALL DAY. I am on my second full-size bottle and I don't know what I'm going to do when it runs out because it looks like Sephora has stopped carrying it. I guess I'll just use it for special occasions now ;)
