OK this might sound a little crazy, but hear me out... I ran out of my e.l.f. HD Powder the other day and wondered if I had anything else I could use. Baby Powder (cornstarch version not talc) and it worked!! Here's my routine. Skin care, then primer - I like powder foundations and have found that applying HD Powder after the primer, that the powder foundation goes on better because it absorbs any moisture from the primer and leaves my skin perfectly dry before I apply my foundation. So without any HD Powder I tried the cornstarch Baby Powder. I was shocked that it worked just as well as the HD Powder. I was really surprised that it didn't alter the color of my foundation - I kind of expected it to make my foundation too light. I think if you applied the Baby Powder on top of the foundation it probably would lighten it - but that could be handy if you have a foundation that is too dark.
9 RepliesVery interesting! I never would've thought about using that. Man, I love baby powder... but more than baby powder, I love that I can use it for so many different things! Great tip! Thanks!
Thanks for the tip I have tons of that in my house :)

just remember to use the cornstarch version NOT TALC. Hmmm... wonder if cornstarch (from the kitchen) would work in a pinch? ;-) Would love to hear your thoughts if you try the baby powder

I'll definitely have to give it a try. I'll be sure to let you know if and when I do. It's all about remembering to get the stuff! Lol

This is the second reply message from this new member to one of my posts - both are this same mess of letters/numbers/characters. Not sure what they are doing, but it's not working. Hope they figure it out soon :-)
Your welcome! Would love to hear your thoughts if you try it :-)

I actually have corn starch a try and it works as if not better!!!! Makes my larger pores vanish and leaves my skin looking amazing! 😄
