Do I Need to Update My Skin Regimen

I think I have a pretty good skin care arsenal. My day goes something like this:

1) SKII Purifying Facial Treatment (love it), 2) Kate Somerville Cytocell Dermal Engergizing Treatment (I heard I dont need it, but I love it) 3) Aveeno Sunscreen, 5) Estee Lauder Verite Cleansing Lotion or Origins or DHC cleansing oils, 6) American beauty overnight radiance boost and matching eye cream for night...I use Clinique all about eyes or Garnier Fructis Rollerball for eyes when needed. I also get facials about every six months.

I'm 32 and I dont have any blemishes or problems with my darker complexioned normal-dry skin. However, I want to preserve the way my skin is right now and i'm not sure if I should add something to my regimen like a retinol or a sacylic acid...Do I really need these or anything else?

Please advise. Thank you!

You definately do not need to use "Kate Somerville Cytocell Dermal Energizing Treatment", despite the great texture the lavender oil it contains causes skin cell death and enhances oxidative damage, and the bergamot oil contains volatile components that can cause skin discolorations in the presence of sunlight. It also has a very small amount of peptide, which doesn't have any evidence to change the activity of stem cells in your skin (no product does). I would suggest adding a small amount of retinol to your daily routine. Paula's Choice has a serum called "Skin Recovery SUper Antioxidant Concentrate Serum" which will help repair damage and stimulate collagen production in your skin. It has no fragrance, no dyes, cruelty free, and is formulated for your dry skin type. To help prevent your skin from becoming any more dry, I would also suggest an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) exfoliant as they cannot penetrate the natural oil on your face. I see you already use DHC, so you could try their "Renewing AHA Cream". I do suggest Paula's Choice though if you're looking to save money. The choice is ultimately yours. Keep up with the great regimen and I hope you find my suggestions as beneficial.

Paula's Choice was a great suggestion--love that serum!
