Makeup
hello, i have oily/combination skin. And I have changed my face creams to face serums to avoid further black heads and large pores from happening. It bothers me to see it every morning while trying to hind them with my foundation. What is the solution to this problem.

You are asking two very different questions! Breakouts can be caused by a lot of different things including stress, touching your face too much, perspiration, foundation, outdated products, other makeup items, acne (of course) and simply oily skin and not cleansing properly. These are just some reasons. So assuming that simply changing your moisturizer to a serum is probably not the answer. My first suggestion is to see a dermatologist and ask what s/he thinks, but other than that, a serum is a highly concentrated product that might actually make your skin more sensitive to breakouts. Try a gentle scrub and cleanser made for oily skin and/or acne (there are many at all price points) and keep your hair pinned back, your hands away from your face. Stop using the serums and creams for a few day and give your skin a chance to rest. Then, start introducing products back into your life that are new, clean, and made for oily skin and acne and see if that helps. If you don't want to spend a lot of money there are plenty of good ones in the drugstore aisles. Speaking of which, Great Lash Mascara by Maybelline is still the world's leader and it is under $7.00. But I love DIORshow and other mascaras that have a wide brush. Again, choice is highly subjective, but whether you go high end, or low, pick one that does what you want it to the most: thicken, color, or lengthen.
