I would like to be able to review and see reviews for the Target house brand Up & Up.
Also, I would like to be able to review the new Simple Skincare line, especially the facial wipes.
4 RepliesUp & Up is the Target store/generic brand for the products that they carry, including everything from toilet paper to skin care to cooking spray. The products will have the exact same ingredient list but not necessarily an identical formula (i.e., the ratios may be slightly different), but they should be comparable to the brand-name products they are trying to mimic.
I searched for Simple Skincare the other day and was quite surprised that there weren't any reviews yet. I can give you my input on two products: the Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer and the Cleansing Facial Wipes. I'd love to hear from others, as my experiences have been less than ideal.. I had high hopes for the moisturizer after seeing the charming British-narrated ads on TV and reading their motto ("Sensitive Skin Experts"). My skin is verrrry sensitive, combo/oily, and acne-prone to boot (lucky me, I know). Unfortunately, about twenty seconds after applying the lotion, my skin felt like it was ON FIRE. That is no exaggeration. I ended up frantically rinsing it off as my entire face became bright red and inflamed. We ended up late for our night out because I was in the bathroom trying to calm and then cover my poor skin. I'm still not sure what I was reacting to, but I'm not willing to try it again. Though after giving the ingredient list another glance, there are a lot of potentially nasty culprits: mineral oil, EDTA, mica, titanium dioxide.. Every reviewer online seems to adore it, though. I need my trusted totalbeauty reviews! The cleansing wipes are okay, though they don't put much liquid in the packs, so the wipes tend to be on the dry side. I didn't have an immediate reaction to those (I had tried them before the moisturizer), but they do seem to make me break out if I use them in conjunction with other products like sunscreen. I actually greatly prefer the Up & Up version of Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes! :)
What's Up & Up?
@TheLacqueredLady, We've uploaded all the Simple Skincare products. There have also been some up & up product updates but let me know if what you're looking for isn' there.
