I recently picked up a bottle of pure argan oil (mixed with other natural oils) that contained no silicone materials or bases. I have heard that pure oils are better, but I really didn't notice a difference between that product and the one that had a silicone base to it. Is there really a difference?
5 RepliesI think it depends on what you're trying to get out of the product. A pure oil will provide more conditioning power and nourish your hair, whereas one with silicone may be better for styling needs, like smoothing frizz or locking out humidity.
I received an argan oil product as a gift. It's not pure argan oil, but I LOVED it. It does an amazing job of adding shine to my hair, which is exactly what I wanted. My hair is so moisturized and glossy. I haven't tried pure argan oil to compare, but the argan oil treatment doesn't leave anything to be desired in my book.

That is good to know. I'm just not sure I'm willing to pay the prices for the pure oil.
