Hi dear, even i have acne on my back and chest. I dont do anything except for drinking water . They go away during winters. but still I want to wear backless dress next week in mu sisters marrige . Neckless wont work over there. Do you have any solution for that.
Try keeping your hair off your back when it's wet. Put on a high back tank top if necessary while you get ready & blow dry your hair. For your chest, try keeping makeup remover towelettes for sensitive skin with you to wipe down after working up a sweat. On the other hand, if it gets too dry it will make matters worse. For me, what worked was to treat my skin like it was sensitive , and not acneic! Exfoliate, but only once or twice a week with something gentle like a sugar scrub, not the popular yet abrasive almond scrub! Be patient and watch how your skin reacts, you'll be able to tell if it's too much or too little. It took me almost 6 months to figure out that my weekly leave-in hair treatment was the culprit! Well mostly... the rest was hormonal.
If you have acne on your face as well and it all comes and goes regularly then it is probably related to hormone fluctuations, which can increase sebum production, making your back & chest more vulnerable to breakouts as well. It takes patience, but balancing hormones is very doable!
Good luck!
Brilliant, thanks so much for your advice Maggie.. I use the hardcore scrubs, and thinking about it, its probably not the best scrub for my skin! And I do get breakouts a little more when my hormones are doing overtime.. I try to aviod greasy foods and drink 3 litres of water a day so maybe products are a problem?
Thanks again!
I think that is what they are called, I just make sure I am exfoliating every day in the shower and if any acne does show up this seems to help it go away faster. An embarassing problem for sure but always remember, it could be worse. :) I haven't paid much attention to making sure that my hair is off of my skin while wet, I wonder why that makes a difference.
Kufa, yes I know what you mean :) that is soemthing I never thought of, I think that is one thing that would ensure I remove all the dead skin cells that would be blocking up my pores on my back? great tip, thank you!
I had a bad problem with back acne, but it had to do with stress at work, amongst personal issues. But at the same time, I thought I got a skin reaction to the body washes I was using, so I started using Dial soap, bought a back scrubber to exfoliate by back 2-3 times a week, wiped my back with Stridex pads, and used talcum powder. My back tends to get oily like my face, so the talcum powder helps with the friction caused my clothes. After a few weeks, my back cleared up. Hope this helps.
