Hi Ladies!
I just went to a new facialist and she gave me some brewers yeast to add to my skin routine to help with cystic acne. Has anyone had any experience with this?
My skin felt great after the facial, but putting brewers yeast on my face weekly doesn't sound to appealing to me because of the smell. ...Although, it'd be worth it if it actually worked!
2 RepliesWow that seems really interesting! I haven't heard of it before, but I'll definitely check it out! I was on a popcorn kick a few months ago so I some brewers yeast as a healthy popcorn topping and I've kinda abandoned it since, ahaha. How did your facialist recommend you to use it? just combine it with a bit of water to create a paste? Have you done it since you started this thread? If so, I'd love to hear about it!!
I have started using it and I think it's working! I still have acne, but the cystic acne is lessening and they definitely aren't as big and noticable. I think you can just add it to water to make a paste, but I added it to my at-home-microdermabrasion and that worked out really well. Since the microdermabrasion was so sweet smelling, it cancelled out the yeast's odor. I would definitely recommend mixing it with something to lessen the smell!
