Over the past few years, I've started to make an effort to buy only what my family needs, vs. what we want. Not only does it help with our budget, but we generate much less trash.
I walk or carpool everywhere. I donate and recyle magazines and newspapers, ect. I Buy Eco-friendly cleaning products. I save water by doing dishes when I have a sink full and turn off water when brushing my teeth. I hang clothes on the line to dry when its nice out. I wash and reuse sandwhich and freezer bags and recycle aluminum cans. I also buy Energy Star windows and doors. We turn lights off when not in a room and unplug everything that isnt being used. (phantom Power). This isnt alot but together we can help to make the world a better place. Thanks.

I shop smart by buying environmentally safe beauty, bath, and cleaning products for my house and family. I also buy from local organic farmers. My family and I have a recycling day out of the month where we buy eco friendly products with the money we've earned from plastic, cans, and paper.
Reusable bags!
I use organic when ever possible and always recycle. I also buy used and trade items rather then throw them.
Recyle!!
With every product I follow my gramma's advice:
"Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."
That means I cut open tubes to get every drop of product out, add water to rinse out the last drops of product from bottles (and use the last drops), and use a cotton swab to clean out the last tiny bits of product in any other container. Nothing goes to waste when it comes to beauty products!
Recyle, take my own bags to the grocery store, buy natural products
aluminum water bottles!
recyle and paper bags
