74 RepliesI use a small amount of talc and massage it in to my scalp and the roots of my hair. I then run a comb through the ends of my hair that daily for me! Fingers crossed :)
My daily hair routine is something I have down to an art!
First, I wash with Aveeno Nourish and Moisturize Shampoo, then I follow with its counterpart conditioner, and let that soak in(a plastic cap really helps seal in the moisture!) for about 5 minutes.
Then, I let my hair dry in a towel wrap for about 15 minutes. I then apply the Aveeno Nourishing leave in conditioner and a quater-sized amount of Moroccan oil, paying careful attention to the ends.
I detangle with a wide-toothed comb
I then separate my hair into 6 sections with clips, and blow dry with a paddle brush.
Then I resection and flat-iron with an FHI.
Finally, I finish with a dollop of John Frieda Secret finishing creme.
It's worth it, though. I finally love my hair! It isn't as time consuming as it sounds.
Hope I win!
Daily hair routine is wash, condition, dry, put on an anti frizz serum, blowdry, flatiron, pass out.
I keep my hair clean and conditioned using different products. Always use good products for saving them from heat.
I shampoo my hair every other day and condition it every other shampoo. Once a week I use a clarifying shampoo and a deep conditioner.
I spray my wet hair with an aerolsol spray (that helps my hairdo stay). Then I do one of these-
On the day that I don't condition I mix a tiny bit of a leave-in conditoner with a gel I run through my hair, then hold my head upside down while I dry it. When it's almost dry I hold my head up and use a round brush to style it while drying it the rest of the way on the "cool" setting then spray the heck out of it with a non-aerosol spray (if I don't do that it'd be flat within 10 minutes, no matter what product I use).
The days that I use a condtioner I do the same, but without adding the leave-in condiioner to the gel. Some days when I feel "dressy" I use my flat iron before I spray it.
Wow when I type this it seems like it takes a long time to do my hair but it really doesn't!
My every day hair rountine is wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner and then use hair serum to make it soft. Throughout the day, my hair would be really soft and healthy.
wash and condition with products for color treated hair - then put in a little bit of styling gel and blow dry enough to keep hair from falling in face-let it finish drying naturally
After exercising I always shampoo with a clarifying shampoo and follow by a deep conditioner. Helps bring the body back in my hair.
wash with variety of shampoo samples I receive from various places RINSE REPEAT WASH rinse towel dry deep condition ends comb let dry naturally with a little gel/spray
Well I have super long, thick hair, so my routine is quite annoying. I wash with LUSH solid shampoo bars. Love them, they make my hair so shiny and healthy looking. Then I conditioner with LUSH Veganese conditioner. It is very light and doesn't weigh down my thick, long hair. Just washing and conditioning my hair alone takes a good 20 minutes.
After washing, I towel dry and add a few drops of Moroccan Oil ( thanks to someone on this board's recommendation. ) I have to say the Moroccan Oil is amazing and has given my hair so much shine and no fly-aways.
I then blow dry for about 15 minutes. ( used to be 30 before the Moroccan Oil...try it, you'll love it. ) After its dry I use a "cool blast" setting on the dryer to seal the hair folicles down. Most people don't know to do that, but the blast of cold air gives your hair great shine.
Now it's on to straighten my hair. ( another 30 minutes or more) I section it into 5 sections. 2 for the front and 3 for the back. Make sure to get the underneath layer good to get that sleek look.
After straightening I sometimes apply Jonathan "Dirt", as a styling aid. It smells good and doesn't make my hair feel tacky or stiff like hair spray does.
So in total, my hair takes a good hour or more to do. I have naturally curly hair, but can't for the life of me get the curls to look natural and not frizzy without tons of product. I hate that "stiff curl" feeling so I tend to wear it straight the majority of the time.
After all that, my hair usually ends up in a ponytail or a messy bun on the top of my head. Maybe it's time for a haircut.
