Favorite Nail Perfecting Tip

My favorite way is to file my nails instead of cutting them so that I can prevent from getting cracked nails. Push my cuticles back and cut them, buffer my nails to make them look shiny and finish off with a top coat to make them look even healthier.

Re: Enter to Win a Box of Sally Hansen's Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips (My Tip)

I don't wear polish very often because I'm a busy Mom and find I nick them way too quickly, but my favorite tips are:

Stick to a lighter shade for longer lasting coverage and if you DO happen to chip a nail, it won't be so painfully obvious!  Lighter shades seem to stay on much better/longer and they also can give the appearance of longer nails, too!

My favorite nail perfecting tip is using OPI Nail Envy.  I have very thin & brittle nails and this product has helped to strengthen my nails so they are not breaking every other day!

....with fingernails that shine like justice

Ok - let's state the obvious, don't bite or chew your nails.  Use the approriate tools when performing a manicure (that doesn't mean your teeth).  Invest in a nice file or two, to clippers, buffing tool, cuticle cream or oil and use them regularly.  Yes, please use cuticle oil or cream to soften them and keep them looking well-cared for.  Moderation is the key - don't go too long or too short with your nails.  Have fun, relax and enjoy pampering yourself. Wink  So quick recap, no dental devices as nail care, maintain regular shedule so they don't get shabby, use cuticle oil or cream, relax and have fun!

Best Nail Tip

I use a cuticle oil to keep my nails soft and moisturized and always use a top coat to seal in color and strengthen nails.  If you are ever in a hurry for your nails to dry you can use a hair dryer and to keep your nails fresh, take a couple days off in between polish colors to give your nails a chance to breathe.

Nail Tip

I like to get my nails as clean of any old polish and smooth as possible.  That way my new polish or treatment really get a great job and looks so professional.  At times it can be a little lenghtly in amount of time allotted but in the end they look so nice.  I always put oil on my cuticles at night so they look nice and smooth- also prevents dry cracked skin or hangnails.

If you want to fix chipping nails, place some nail polish remover on your finger tip and gentle rub over the nail polish chip to make smooth. Then reapply polish.
