I know this may sound weird, but if you apply paint over the old paint and quickly wipe, the nail polish will come off. It may take two to three tries but it's a way to remove the old stuff. Hope this helps! :) 

thanks, i will have to try this. also, i am going to Target today to pick up some eye makeup remover and i can probably find a bottle of nail polish remover there. thanks!
