Did you know that you can use olive oil as a facial cleanser -- yup, you can. Though it's best for dry skin types and ideal to use during the winter. Use it the same way you would a cream/lotion cleanser. It even removes stubborn makeup. Freaked out by this idea? Dry the Dermalogica Precleanse, $34 (it's also an oil cleanser, meant to break down stubborn makeup and oils before cleansing with your basic cleanser -- they use it on a ton of TV show and movie sets).

Hi Kristen. I was wondering if you actually use the olive oil in addition to your regular facial cleanser or could it be used alone? And do you use just regular virgin olive oil from the super market? Thanks for your help :) Heather
Much, Much better than Olive is Jojoba Oil. It lighter, not a s heavier, and leaves the skin silky feeling for hours. It's about 3 times as much though, and you can only find it in Health Food Stores.
