93 Repliesoh my goodness. let me tell you! I live in the North, where right now everyone is basically abandoning hope of gaining warmth back into our fingers and toes. And of not looking like lizards.
I use lots of moisturizers, thick ones especially, and I slather it on right after showering. Aquaphor for my hands and lips. And bio oil is awesome, I put it on at night and my skin is so soft!
First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream is an amazing, thick cream for nighttime application. Skip the lotions ladies, winter is all about cream! ;)
Mybest winter skin care tip would have to be to moisterize, moisterize, moisterize. Body, Face, nd Hair. The harsh cold and wind candry out all three so easily. Just find what works for you and use it daily.
a few drops of coconut oil, baby oil, or olive oil mixed with your daily moisturizer gives a little boost, as well as a healthy shimmer and glow. oily skin should be careful when applying oil based cleaners and moisturizers to the face, but your cuticles, elbows, knees, and heels will drink it up!
My winter strategy is LOTION< LOTION, and lots of LOTION!
Wow, that's one heck of a prize pack. I really like this site. Another favorite makeup and beauty blog is http://tryitandbuyit.blogspot.com/
moisturize after your bath or shower...its most important during winter compared to the summer time! And remember to lip balm a lot! Do not lick your lips!
I put coconut oil in my lotion. It is absorbed quickly and not so greasy but keeps me better moisturized.
My winter tip is to always wear gloves. I wear gloves all winter long even w/o snow the cold weather can be harsh on hands when outside the home.
When I was my face in the Winter, I alwasy rinse with cool water, closes the pores and then I moisturize immediately and my face feels great. After a shower, I do the same thing. And with my hands, since I wash them alot, I rinse with cool and apply hand lotion. It saves my skin, cause in Minnesota, the dry cold air really does a number on skin (and hair).
