Makeup
I've always been one to get my eyebrows waxed I even bought my own waxing kit and now I do my own. It saves me a lot of money. There are days though when I'm in a hurry and I see some stubborn hairs making their way through on my eyebrows. I've alway had bad luck with tweezers but I bought some tweezerman tweezers and I have to say, they definitely get the job done on the first pluck. I love these tweezers!

I enjoy a good eye brow wax too (but with the economy, I've cut down my waxing budget immensely). Fortunately I got it done enough over the year that I felt confident to give it a go on my own.
A friend turned me on to Parissa Wax (I've seen it at Target and Whole Foods). I'm not lying when I say that I was amazed at how easily it was to turn remove the hair. Granted I've been getting waxed for 5 years so I definitely knew the basic way to do it (but it's still scary to actually have to pull the hair).
I've used both the small strips for faces and the larger warm wax for the bikini line. Seriously amazing results. And I totally agree on Tweezerman. It works so well and I totally rely on it when I don't have time to wax or need grab a few strays.
Wow, that's pretty cool, I'd be way too afraid to try waxing on my own (with my luck I'd take off my entire eyebrow!). I usually just tweeze on my own, it's harder to mess that up, although not impossible. Do you guys trim your brows too? That's why I see a professional sometimes, I'm nervous to try it myself, but it would be nice to save some money and do it at home.
Yeah I trim my own eyebrows as well. I use an eyebrow brush and comb up so that the longer hairs stick out and then I trim those. I never trim my eyebrows combed down because then you take too much hair off and it just doesn't look right. Hope that's helpful to you.
Have you guys tried threading? I've been to a few different places and it's usually pretty inexpensive ($10-$15). I really like it because it's relatively painless AND there is no chance of accidental burning!
Waxing, plucking and threading all last the same amount of time. Each process pulls the hair out by the root. I think it's best to get an initial shaping done professinally and then save yourself some money by maintaining the shape through plucking.
I used to use the Sally Hansen at home waxing kit for my brows, but recently I had my makeup done by a professional and she told me I was getting carried away with the brow removal. Since then I have put myself on a waxing "diet," if you will, and only turn to tweezers when I get stragglers down below the brow bone. I love my tweezerman tweezers now too.
Oh and while I wait for my brows to grow back in some, I tried the new NYX Eyebrow Marker and I love it! It sounds intense (marker, really?), but it's actually really natural looking. I have included proof below (the brow on the right is filled in and the brow on the left is au natural).
