Makeup
Hi there everyone... This is my first time posting although I have been a member of totalbeauty for quite some time now. I have tried a few primers and loose face powders/bronzers, as well as samples that I have gotten from a few select stores, and cannot seem to find the perfect fit for my skin. My skin tone is easy to match up (I like a shade darker than my skin color, as long as it is not too dark), however, no matter what I use, I feel like I have on cream face makeup which I hate now that I am older. The only thing that I found that works and feels the least cakey is loose powder, or a loose lighter bronzer works best for me . I also think that primer works best underneath, as well, but am more fond of something clear. I was wondering what you all think is the best loose non cakey face powder, and/or bronzers, as well as the best primer that you have ever used thus far? I strictly use the powder, not the moist powdery stuff. I do like that Smashbox clear gel primer the best but have not tried many primers. I like to also use the Smashbox on my eyes also, due to the fact that I wear eye pencil too. However, I have not found even an eye primer that can hold up to my eye pencils. Smashbox does not work for my eyelids. The eye pencil still continuously sticks to my eye lids, no matter what I use. I end up looking more like I have a teal green eyeshadow on than anything by the end of the day. All as I want is a loose face powder that is not cakey and a nice primer underneath that helps with my eye pencils too. I want it to feel natural and not cakey or too dry either. I am aiming for that softer look with a glow, and without that dirty face feeling. Anything anti aging/anti wrinkle is a plus too, as I am 48 years old. Any advice is welcome, and greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
