Never again, never again. I was on a four-day backpacking trip in the middle of southern Arizona, and besides the hot, dry climate, it was scorching hot during the day and freezing cold during the night, which not only wrecked havoc on my skin, but also on my lips. I was wearing sunscreen everywhere on my body from dawn until dusk, but I burn ridiculously easily. And lucky me, my lips got sunburned and I feel completely miserable. The burning died down the day afterwards, but now my lips feel completely dry all of the time (even when I have some sort of lip product on), they look redder than usual, and the flaking is non-stop. Every time I rub my lips together, it feels like my lips are covered in nothing by flakes! It's driving me insane. Currently I've been gently brushing them with a soft toothbrush to try to get the flakes off (not working, by the way) and then putting on Nivea lip balm with sun protection during the day and Vaseline at night, but I'm not getting anywhere it seems. What should I do?
