I want to start building a nail polish collection, but I don't want to break the bank (so no Chanel or anything like that, but O.P.I.s and Essies are fine). Which brand(s) are good?
13 RepliesI like Orly Nail Polish. It's very thick and long-lasting!
I am obsessed with nail polish and probably have 70 bottles. My favorite brand is Zoya; their polish runs about $8 a bottle. You can find it at Ulta or on their website. Some other brands I think are great that are more readily available are: OPI, China Glaze, Essie, Orly, and Sally Hanson Salon Manicure. Butter London also has great polish but it's expensive.
OPI, Essie, Zoya, Revlon, and L'Oreal are my favorite brands. Honestly Revlon actually has made some of my all-time favorite nail polish colors! Their formulation is great too. If you haven't checked them out, I highly recommend them! You can especially get good deals on drugstore brands if you purchase them when they have buy one get one sales at various drugstores too!
OPI, China Glaze and Essie are probably my favorite polishes. Revlon also makes a great base coat that I just started trying and really am liking.
I like the Avon Nailwear Pro line.
China Glaze is pretty good.
[..continued] Avon has very rich colors and goes on smoothly. With a good top coat, it really lasts. They also come out with great new shades every season. And it's regularly $6.00(3.49 on sale) Rimmel London Lasting Finish is also good, but the drawback is limited color selection. The NYX website also offers a top-rated nail polish with over 100 colors for only 4 bucks a bottle.
