Awww something I do not like and cant seem to control is the fun bright neon nail colors staining my nails once I remove the polish to put on a new color. I just took off an awesome bright yellow neon that I adored but it was time for change. Its been 3 days and I still cant get the stain to come off. What do I do?
4 RepliesFor neons, it's recommended that you use a clear base coat. I've heard you can also use white nail polish as a base coat too. Try removing it with pure acetone. If the nails are still stained, I heard you can brush your nail beds using toothpaste and it will remove it. Hope this helps.
I've not painted my nails much, but maybe I could direct you to some help: http://www.spektorsnails.com/2013/01/how-to-remove-nail-polish-stains.html : SpecktorNails.com beauty blog has as article about the problem. Also, from what I've read, it's really good to use a nude or clear base coat to prevent it. good luck.
Like an earlier poster said, a base coat is definitely necessary. CND Stickey is a popular choice and the one I'd recommend. I would encourage you to wear a base coat with blue, green, neon, and any dark colors. Also, try soaking your nails in warm, soapy water between paintings.
I hate when this happens! A base coat is a must to avoid it. To get the stains off you can lightly buff your nail bed with a buffing block or file :) Avoid too much acetone as this will dry out your nails making them brittle.
