Makeup
Hi! I need some help and recommendations for finding the right kind of facial cleanser. I believe I have combination skin, although it seems to get significantly more oily when I wear makeup (I'm home from college for the summer so there's not much makeup to be worn at the moment!). I have slightly acne-prone skin, where I'll get single spots mostly along my t-zone but they seem to appear randomly and not in clusters, and they're mostly the deep, painful pimples. I also hate that I have many clogged pores. I've used a couple different acne facial cleansers from the drug store, but when they get up into my hairline, they dry out my scalp just past the hairline and make it all scaly and peely! Does anyone have any advice or similar problems and could make some suggestions? Thanks! (:
4 RepliesThere are SO MANY great cleansers that it is dizzying. Right now (I tend to be fickle), I am in love with Ole Henriksen's "African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser." It cleans extremely well, has a luscious citrus fragrance, is dispensed in fun foam puffs, and will help in dealing with any blemishes you have. All of Henriksen's products are formulated with natural fruit acids to decongest pores with gentleness. This cleanser will not strip you of much-needed natural oils. My skin hasn't been this clear, luminous, or had such clarity since I was in high school. Check out Ole Henriksen on Sephora or on their own site. They have great "trial" packages where you can experiment with a number of products at a reasonable price. Good luck--please let me know if I can do anything else for you!
Hey Jessica First of all I'd recommend increasing your water intake. Believe me it worked for me to get rid of my acne sooo much. As for some good cleansers I'd say Dr Wexler's ones are very good. You can get them from Bath & Body works. Clinique dramatically different lotion or gel (which ever will suit you best) should work as well.
You can also try cleaning your face with raw honey and lemon juice. It works as a natural cleanser! you will surely get instant results!
