Useful Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do With Back Tap on iPhone
from DavidKidd's blog
Back Tap, introduced in iOS 14, gives you a quick and easy way to take action on your iPhone. From turning on the flashlight, and taking a screenshot, to using custom keyboard shortcuts, you may not be able to use this handy feature. For example if you need to make screenshot in https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pdf-scanner-app-scan-docs-id/id1495971405.
We'll cover some system features, useful accessibility tools, scrolling gestures, and cool keyboard shortcuts that let you do something useful with Apple's back touch on the iPhone.
What is Back Tap on iPhone?
You can use Tap Back on iPhone with iOS 14 or later. You can perform actions automatically by touching the back of the phone.
You can choose double tap or triple tap. This gives you the flexibility to use one, the other, or both for different things. Quickly tap the back of your iPhone two or three times to initiate the action set up below.
Note. Depending on the type of iPhone case you're using, you may need to tap hard to activate the feature.
Enable tap back
Enable tap back on iPhone by opening the Settings app.
Select Ease of Use and then Tap.
Scroll down and select Back Tap.
Select double tap or triple tap to set the first tap.
Under System, Accessibility, Scrolling gestures, or Shortcuts, select the feature you want to set with a double or triple tap.
Tap the arrow in the upper left corner to save the tap and go back.
You can then configure a new touch back or use the arrows in the upper left corner of each subsequent screen to exit the accessible settings and return to the main settings screen.
If you want to disable the tap later, go back to the same place in settings and select None as the tap back action.
Using Back Tap for System Actions
The best way to decide which system action to use for back tap is to think about what you do most on your device.
Do you often open the camera to take pictures of yourself? Do you often use Siri to get information? Do you take screenshots multiple times a day? Do you constantly turn up the volume of your music?
All these functions are considered system functions in the rear touch menu. Open the double-tap or triple-tap settings described above, then press back to select Camera, Siri, Screenshot, or Volume.
Be sure to also check other system functions such as opening the Control Center, opening the Home screen, turning on the flashlight, and turning on the lock.
Then try your new faucet. Remember to quickly double and triple tap the back of the phone twice.
