Good news&bad news

Good news: Got a call from American truckers association to come in for an interview, Went in, AND I THINK I HAVE A GREAT CHANCE! So excited, i have been cooped up in this house money less for so long that even a simple interview feels like a vacation! so happy i am finely getting noticed and have hope for chances at a new career.
Bad news:: I gave my turtle to a friend a long long time ago, He was my best friends turtle then mine, I loved him so much and today i just have a weird gut feeling that i should try to get a hold of the girl that had him, He was a snapping turtle, they live for 100 year, So i figured that he would still be alive and i could make sure he was still in good hands.
But she said "i had him till about a week ago, He was sick"
Apparently he had shell rot then got a blood infection.. she spent 300+ on him but it wasnt working. So she let him go in the wild... So he could spend his last bit happy. Little does she know they have to be warm, She let him go during spring? I am just shook up and very upset about this. I loved that turtle so much and now i feel sick to my stomach knowing that i cant just go over and save him.. He is gone, dead or alive he isnt happy like she believed he would be.. But again there was nothing she could do so i am sure there was nothing that i could do either, So farewell Or rip to my beautiful turtle speedy.
