Hello Again!
from rhaewynsmom's blog
This post is just a little way to play catch up and get involved with
this community again. I love reading the advice, articles, and
information about upcoming products!
I cannot believe that my daughter has already turned one this year! Last year went by so fast. She is walking and talking in short sentences at 1 months old. She's early for sentences, but she is having a hard time with textured foods and chewing. There is also an intolerance issue to milk which we are learning to address (this is all new to me).
I was in a car accident back in August and had to go through a number of therapies to get myself back on the right path. I think the distraction of doctors coupled with taking care of my first child caused time to fly by.
Since having my daughter my hair has gone from straight/wavy to curly. I have to use a hair dryer to dry it straight. I am lost as to what I should use on my hair now, but I continue to experiment with products until I find the right one. It is very hard to tame if I let it air dry. The layers that were cut in my hair originally are not very flattering as it makes my hair "poof" out.
I lost 30lbs this year! While I am not yet back to an exercise regimen, I have been trying to watch what I eat. I have a cheat day (or two) a week where I can have some of my favorite things. Generally, any food isn't off limits, but I just try to control how much I have of it and when I have it. I have also been trying to add more vegetables and fruits into my diet. As a quick example, I use both sweet and russet potatoes in Shepard's pie. I also use 93% lean hamburger. I still use cream corn, but sometimes I make it homemade so I can control the fat and sugar content. Still tastes great!
So this is where I am! Glad to be back and have the time to look around!
