Storing Perfume

Perfume can be expensive. So when you don't store your precious perfumes correctly, they won't last as long as they should. The average perfume should last one to two years, but if you're super careful about how to keep your perfume, it can last forever.  To get the most life out of your perfume, make sure to store your perfumes right! Here are some tips:
1) Heat, light, and humidity are perfume's worst enemies. All of these will break down your perfume, alter the color, change the smell, and shorten their life. So keep your perfume out of the reach of direct sunlight (I know they look fabulous on your dresser, but the light will break it down), take them away from the heater, and don't store them in the bathroom where the moisture from showers will get to them.
2) Store the bottles upright. Minimize the chance of leaking and wasting the perfume.
3) Always cap the perfume, and if you can, keep them in the box. Both of these will preserve the perfume by keeping it from light, and stopping some of the evaporation.
