Go to places in your area that sell them like Ulta, Sephora and talk to a representative. When you are in department stores ask for samples and recommendations. They will ask you about your preference and skin type to best match you. You can also look for samples online. Good Luck.

Well the Internet is great for looking up reviews, you can see what people think of certain products.. You can type in "best rated foundations" or "best eyeshadows" and u can see what most people like so chances are that u will like it too... Or you can try going to stores such as ULTA where they can give you advice on what is good, like what foundation would be good for your skin or what eyeshadows would look good on you. I am not sure where your from so I don't know what stores you have where you live but ULTA is a good place to go and also the mall like Macy's or Jcpennys I believe they have makeup artists there who can give you advice.

When I am looking for cosmetics for myself I always read reviews or watch video reviews on youtube. If too many people are complaining about a particular product, then I wont buy it.
