New Member and Mom

I gave birth to my daughter in January. Since then, my daily care regimen has gone out the window. With that, so has expensive products. I will admit that I have used Johnson & Johnson's head to toe body wash to remove my makeup. I've also used it on my own hair since it's quick when I give my daughter a bath.
I have since been trying to adapt to the joys of motherhood and the struggle to also take care of myself. The thing that I would say I am vain about the most is my hair. When my hair looks and feels nice, I feel really great about myself. Even without makeup, my hair tends to provide a certain glow to my complexion. I have developed lots of curls since pregnancy. Flat on the top and oily, then to wavy, and then lots of curls and tangles on the ends. I was very much use to shampoo that would have a sleek or slimming affect. Now I am looking into ones for curly and wavy hair. I'm not even sure about what to try at this point!
I love makeup, nail polish, dying my hair, dressing up nice... I just haven't had a lot of time to do these things or afford them. As I gradually get back into this, I hope to discover some new tips and tricks on here as well as share some of my own along the way.

Hi! I am also a new member, and I have two children, ages 4 and 2. Don't worry I went through the same thing I know its not easy. When your baby is so little she needs so much and its hard to focus time on yourself..but as they get older, they get easier, they start learning to do things for themselves, and you can start giving yourself some attention. Little by little you will get there! I still don't have the energy or time to worry about myself like I did before I had kids, but I have a little more now that my oldest is in pre-school and my 2 year old will be next once he turns 3 in October! I love spending time with my kids but its nice to have a little break and be able to do some things for myself. I also know how expensive cosmetics can be, but what is great about total beauty is that they offer so many great reviews for not only high end brands, but also drugstore. I myself love drugstore makeup! So you're sure to find products on here that are inexpensive but good! Good luck with everything!
