REVISED REVIEW OF VITAMELTS VITAMIN C...SHOULD BE RATED 1 STAR
was asked to review this product by Total Beauty, but I cannot find it in the database so I am reviewing it as a blog.
The Vitamin C is imparted through dissolvable tablets, which are very tasty and do taste like oranges. However, just like when drinking orange juice, I could not brush my teeth before taking one of these tablets. It leaves a terrible taste in your mouth if you brush before.
The package states it helps support your immune system. Each tablet contains 60 mg of Vitamin C and provides 100% Daily Value. I researched some of the additional ingredients and the product contains silicon dioxide, among other things that did not appear to be chemicals, which is apparently contained in food as a flow agent and absorbs atmospheric humidity that would otherwise cause clumping. I found it interesting because it's sand. I found the information on-line in an article entitled "18 Most Sickening Food Ingredients. The article does state, however, that swallowing sand probably won't hurt you.
The instructions are to take 1 tablet up to 6 times per day. All product statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.
I would never buy these. I prefer to have one glass of orange juice per day, which is muchbetter than eating something that is more like candy. And, I can't see eating one of these with morning coffee.
