How to eliminate dry skin
There are a lot of exfoliators on the market, most of which cost way too much I feel. So how about a homemade exfoliator that works twice as well that makes your skin so amazingly soft and beautiful you'll never buy another product ever again? Done!
All you need is a lemon and some sugar. As a matter of fact, I get these handy little bottles of lemon juice from the grocery store that work the same as real lemons but, the shelf life is well.. a LONG time, so you don't have to worry about your key ingredient going sour. (ba-dum-pshhhh) No? Okay moving on.
So let's get started.
Prior to using this exfoliator you can dampen the skin with some warm water. Totally optional. The goal here is to make a paste with the lemon juice and sugar. There is no precise measurement, you just kind of eyeball it. Once your paste is made you're just going to massage it into the skin. Be gentle! you don't want to irritate the skin. And watch out for those eyes!
This also doubles as an exfoliator for the lips as well so go ahead and massage those too! Side note, this stuff is delicious! :)
Once you've massaged your skin with the mixture, go ahead and rinse it off with warm water. Make sure to get all of those sugar granules! Nobody wants lumpy makeup haha. Pat your skin dry with a paper towel. Avoid using a bath towel because you don't know what kinds of bacteria could be lingering around and you don't want a breakout!
Now enjoy your amazing soft, glowy skin!
Additionally, if I'm using this exfoliator at night I will apply Eucerin Professional Repair lotion afterward. I generally only use this at night because its pretty greasy but, when I wake up the next morning.. HELLO AMAZING SKIN! I got the lotion at Target for about $7, which you can check out here.

Extra info:Lemons have a long list of benefits to the skin. To name a few..
- Exfoliating
- Brightening
- Toning
- Hydrating
- Pore Cleansing

I love your homemade exfoliator--looks luscious! And I just bought Eucerin because I have done so much reading on how effective it is. Kudos!

salt scrubs also work well - but have the disadvantage that they don't taste nearly as good as the sugar ones ;)
