Expression Through Makeup

Makeup can be used as a form of expression.  For me, makeup allows me to show how I feel without saying a word. Since my clothing is almost always black,  I can have that liberty.  On light happy days the colors are usually pink or gold  and light cheerful earth tones colors. With the focus being on your smile.  Days that I don't want to be bothered are usually heavier eyeliner and the smokey eye look with a natural tone lipstick and bronzer. Since I'm not smiling much on these days I want  the focus on the eyes.

Contouring  is my new best friend. You don't have to buy the expensive "contouring makeup".  Use your dark eyeshadow or the foundation you put back that was too dark.  A few well blended swipes of a darker shade of powder under the chin and under the jaw bone can work miracles for that double chin problem. You don't want to look like  you got the worst of a fight so blend well. I have a square face.  I soften my edges, narrow my nose and give my cheekbones definition this way

Enhance Your Natural Beauty
Cover Girl Bronzer gives my skin that natural glow.  Use on the "T of your face and a little around the eyes to make your face pop.  Again, this  contributes to the natural  glow of your face. No one has to know you ate chocolate the day before. I use this with a little mascara and lip gloss when I want to be a conservative.

Nothing dates you like red lipstick,  a dark lip liner and a container of blue eyeshadow on your face all at once.

What  your parents didn't give you, you can create. Most of all for me, makeup is fun and something I look forward to.
