ELF Studio Mineral Infused Face Primer

ELF Studio Mineral Infused Face Primer
I've been using the ELF Studio Mineral Infused Face Primer for about a year now, I also have a backup in my kit to use on clients as well. For only $6, this primer is fantastic! When I first started using it, it instantly reminded me of the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, $36.00. I had a mini of the Smashbox primer a while back, so when I started using the ELF primer I knew I had to do a review on it eventually. I think it's amazing that the ELF primer is such a close dupe for the Smashbox primer that has been getting a lot of love on beauty blogs and YouTube, and it's only a fraction of the price!

Word of advice, when you first purchase this primer, shake it up really well. When I first used it, I pumped out an oily substance, so after shaking it up, it's been a clear gel substance ever since. It has a light, clean scent but it doesn't last all day, so you don't need to worry about smelling like primer for hours. I have combination skin (oilier areas on my forehead, nose and chin, and dryer areas on my temples and cheeks) and this primer doesn't create more shine or oils. I has silica in it, so it applies very smooth and keeps your skin smooth all day.

@Sherrell1: I really like their foundation too! I really didn't think I would, being it's so cheap, but the formula is amazing, the shade range is so great that I bought all the shades for my makeup kit, and the lasting power is actually really good! :) glad to hear you're loving your elf products just as much as I do - I recommend ELF to everyone I see!!!

I just wanted to say how much I like the E.L.F mineral primer too! I live in southwest WA and it's only recently appeared in a Target near me. We have a Target in my home town I do use but I am in Vancouver WA and Portland OR a lot and found it at one of the Portland Targets.  So I decided since I really like the Eye primer and lipstick I would give it a try along with the Flawless foundation.  Honestly I was skeptical about how they would work/feel because they are so cheap! I am a makeup junkie and Sephore or Ulta is my junk yards so I am used to the middle to upper price range.  Recently though I have been looking for a foundation that I could use for the warm days of summer and with lighter coverage( I have been using Tarte Amazon Clay foundation) while I like it I find it is a little heavier texture wise than I want for casual occasions. I now am using the E.L.F Flawless foundation and Mineral infused primer more than the Tarte one!  It even came in a shade light enough for my pale, freckled skin! So if your looking for foundation and primer the price makes it definitely worth a try! Sherrell1
