Julep Helena
Julep Helena
Here's one of the polishes from my March $.01 Julep Maven box.
Julep's Helena is described as "Ultra-saturated fuchsia. Looks great on all skin tones."
$14.00 / .27 fl oz
Finish: semi-matte creme
Ok, Julep has me head over heels this month, here is yet another shade that I'm completely in love with! It's bright, vibrant, insanely pigmented (good to go in one coat!), semi-matte (a very cool trend lately), and unique in shade (compared to my crazy collection, anyways). This is an amped up fuchsia, almost on the border of a neon. It's vibrancy is incredible! In the sunlight it's screaming bright, and in the shade or indoors the shade is so intense that I can't help but stare at my nails! I didn't realize this was a semi-matte when I first applied it, so when it began to dry down to a flat finish, my jaw dropped. I really like semi-matte polishes, for some reason they make me happy - kinda like how a semi-matte lipstick does.
After applying a top coat I felt so embarrassed at how much I was smiling at my manicure. Having a high shine on this color makes me want to go out and show off my nails, maybe even add some rhinestones for a sexier vibe. Fuchsia is my go-to bright shade for eyeshadow, lipstick and blush and now it's my go-to bright for nails! LOVE IT!
Based on how excited I got over this shade, I would pay $14.00 for it, without an ounce of regret!
Base Coat: Zoya Anchor Base Coat Top Coat: Zoya Armor Top Coat Cuticles: E.L.F. Essential Nourishing Cuticle Pen Polish Holder: LadyBug Nail Polish Holder < Previous Post Next Post >
