Waxing...Waxing...Waxing!
I must say I have never in my life have waxed myself or have been waxed professionally. I just recently decided that I wanted to give it a whirl on my own. I brought Sally Hansen All Over Body Wax at CVS ( saw a good review on it here). So I admit I was scared out of my mind and I learned I have every reason to be! I did the bikini area, two strips and was done. Holy cow did it hurt! I was in pain and it didn't even get all the hair from the area (left pieces). I figured following all the instructions it would be okay. I was not about to wax over a just waxed area either just to get two hairs. I shaved the rest, including my legs which I was also going to wax.
So question, do you get used to the pain, does it feel better if a professional does it?
Any way to get super smooth areas without the constant shaving that irritates my skin.

I have both been waxed professionally and done it myself. I would really recommend getting waxing done professionally. In my opinion it is not as painful as doing it yourself. I take 2 tablets of ibuprofen 200mg about an hour before hand to help with the pain. Also wear loose clothing for the at least the remainder of the day (no skinny jeans) they just irritate the area more. I do my underarms myself because it is not as sensitive as the bikin area. If you do go to a salon do your research before you go. Make sure they are licensed and have good reviews. After sometime your pain tolerance will go up and it won't hurt as much. Good luck to you!

Thanks a ton! I was definitely feeling it and only did two strips, sick of shaving just have to get used to the pain I guess haha.
