Indie Lee – The Shampoo Review
Today I bring you The Shampoo by Indie Lee. I have heard amazing things about this brand. Indie survived a brain Tumor in 2009 and after doing research learned that a probable cause was all of the chemicals in her daily life. As a result she created a brand based on all natural ingredients that have not even been genetically modified.

This is a thick shampoo with a very earthy smell – I would say it sort of smells like grass and tea. It is not unpleasant, but it is also not sweet.
As an every 2-3 day hair-washer I usually have to shampoo twice to feel like it is actually clean. I used this one and instantly realized it was not the same as my normal shampoos. If you have ever used WEN then you are familiar with the idea of a cleansing conditioner. While this product is only a shampoo, it feels the same as WEN does when it is in my hair. Thinking it was a mistake or that my hair was extra dirty I tried washing it 3 more times. Nope – no lather, just creaminess. I need a good lather when I wash my hair – which is part of why I don’t like WEN for myself. The scent left in my hair was also not as yummy as I like.
I ended up re-washing my hair with my normal Alterna Bamboo and finishing with my Joico Revitalux.
All in all I did not like this product. My personal preference is to have strong lather from my shampoo. I also like a less earthy scent – something a little more fruity. Would I buy this again? No, but I wouldn’t hesitate to try more from Indie Lee – and I do believe that some people would LOVE this shampoo.
