Ok, So I have this really thick, mid-lenght, wavy or curly (on good days) hair. It has been chemically treated (colored red), and I sometimes straighten it with the blow drier with the help of the Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchel and Got 2b CrazySleek Hot Smooth Flat Iron & Blow Dry Lotion.
Before dying it red I had split ends here and there, but now all my hair is covered in them! Every morning I have to untangle it. It looks terrible after a day without washing it (I wash my hair every other day). In other words my hair feels like straw and I can't even run my finger through it without getting them stuck in the middle. I dyed it two month ago, and two weeks ago I went for a trim. The lady took off three inches off! But my hair looked and felt much better after that. I was so happy. But now, it’s only been two weeks and I am already starting to see the split ends again. I have only styled it once. I don’t know what to do. I have used Moroccan oil, but I guess I have to wait for the results. I use Herbal Essences shampoo only on my roots (I don't want to dry my hair even more) and Dove Intense Damage Repair conditioner. I have also tried the whole egg and olive oil mixture for the hair. Any advice on what I should do differently? What products should I use? (All I know is that I’m probably never dying my hair again) The hair dresser who cut my hair said that if I don’t want to dye my hair again, I could use something called “glaze”. She said it would darken my hair, make it all shiny and soft, and cover the color I already have on, but not damage it. I have never heard of that. Any thoughts on this? Any advice or experiences that any of you have had with so called “glaze”? Thanks for your help!!!

I personally can't get enough serums, leave in conditioners and hair masks. I just purchased the Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner (suggested to me on here) and I am blown away with my hair lately I have never gotten this much moisture from a mask let alone a 3$ mask. Also I use John Frieda serum extra strength only $9.99 and the John Frieda Full Repair glossing and heat protector mist (about $8.00) which is probably the biggest wonder product I've used in years and throughout the day I like to mist with the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition spray. My little routine is working great I have super thick, curly hair that I straighten and curl everyday so I get so dried out its horrible! You just gotta stay on top of it and don't be lazy put a heat protector every time and a heavy serum or leave in conditioner at least twice a day to start getting results.
