No serums and eye creams
The makeup industry has one goal and one goal only: TO MAKE MONEY. They create false needs. My other 2 big complaints are serums and eye creams.
Serums: not necessary. Used Lancome serum for 1 month. No difference. I just saved $90 because I am never buying a serum again. I use a Clarisonic Mia, which is recommended by dermatologists to open the pores and allow moisturizer to penetrate deeply. The Mia really cleanses deeply. For really good moisturization, also use a good humidifier, too. I have a personal one right next to my bed. My skin is so soft and dewy. (I do use a night cream and day cream with SPF.)
Eye creams. Save $36 to $50 +. All you need to do twice a day (am and pm) is to lightly tap your moisturizer in and around the eyes. A separate eye cream is totally not necessary.
I hope that just 1 person reads this, and is of the same mind set, and will save time and especially money.

I stopped using eye creams three years ago, but came to the same realization as you a different way. I started using NeoCell hyaluronic acid capsules, which holds moisture in the skin. It dinged out my fine lines around my eyes, but also changed my skin overall for the better. I have gotten more interested in supplements to benefit my skin than creams...creams are local, but the benefit of supplements goes everywhere. Occasionally, you can even read beauty mags saying a special eye cream is not necessary!
