Lorac Multiplex 3D Lashes mascara

 As usual, I am on the quest for the perfect lashes and Sephora had LORAC Multiplex 3D Lashes as a 100 point beauty insider bonus so of course I snagged it.  So how does it compare to other mascaras? 

I’ll start with the packaging, this black mascara comes in a black tube with LORAC written all over it in a holographic foil – it really stands out in my makeup drawer.

Anyway the wand itself is very different for a “high-end” brand, most wands seem to have flexible bristles and this is solid. 

LORAC claims that this is volumizing, thickening, buildable, and non smudging…did it live up to its reputation?

The solution is a somewhat liquidy gel and it goes on surprisingly evenly.  It did give great coverage and it didn’t clump per se, but it made it look like I had fewer lashes than I had, but they did look thicker and longer.  The black was a true black, and that was good and it didn’t flake off at any point. It lasted my normal day ~14 hours and came off cleanly with my normal makeup remover.

Did I like it? Sort-of. I’ll use it a little more but I won’t re-buy it. There are other mascaras like Lancôme Hypnose Drama that I would definitely get again if I don’t find something better.
