Living healthier adding more water to my life
I've been eating more veggies and drinking more water to help curb my appeitite. So far along with my workout routine that tones my curves, all is well so far. A few questions for you ladies:
1. What is your favorite workout routine?
2. How often do you drink water? How many glasses per day?
3. Have adding or subtracted any foods from you diet? If so, what and why?
If you'd like please share, we may discover a lot of our rouines are similar while other routines may help us tweak our routines for the better.
Thanks so much,
Darkcocoa

Congratulations on your new routine! Let me answer your questions: 1) I actually hate working out (gasp!, I know) but I do it because I'm in the army, so I have to- but eventually you learn to love it. I like to lift, mostly free weights, because you will eventually feel yourself getting stronger in as short as a few weeks. Bench press, lunges, bicep curls, squats, etc. I run alot also, because its my weakness, so I make sure I focus on it too for endurance. Lifting weights doesn't make you bulk up; I have a friend who went from a size 12 to a size 6 in a few months by mostly lifting. She looked AMAZING, and I myslef am as scrawny as a twig and I lift regularly. But with free weights you have to make sure are doing the exercises correctly for them to be effective. 2) I try to consume as much water as possible throughout the day. I have a water bottle I keep at work and if I fill it up twice, its equivlent to 1 liter. Again being in the army, we have to drink tons of water throughout the day, even in the winter. I drink water with every meal, or if I have juice or tea, I'll follow up with water afterwards. 3) I have learned to substitute foods. My doctor recommended I cut out red meat (because of acne) but I just stopped eating it AS much. I'll have a chicken or turkey instead of beef. I'll have something grilled as opposed to fried. I'll snack on mixed nuts instead of chips or candy. I've replaced coffee with green tea. Or I'll have 1 or 2 cookies as opposed to 5 or 6. LOL. Good luck with your new routine. I hope I've helped, more than I've rambled lol
