New to MakeUp

At the age of 36 I am finally trying my hand at wearing makeup. The reason that I have finally decided to begin this journey is that my 14 year old duaghter is starting to wear it and I figured if she could do it so can I. 

The reason that I hav ento attemped my hand at wearing makeup was becuase I was raised by my fauther I did not have much exposure it women who would have been able to show me when I was younger how to or what to wear. As I got older I just no longer thought of it and finally started to make excuses on why I did not want wear it.

My journey finally began with my husband telling me he knew what products I should start with and what brand I should use. As I had no other source as a referance and was to embaressed to ask my friends I followed him to the store. He told me I should purchase Remmell London products and should start with mascara, eye liner(liquid) and powder. I told him I wanted to add a lip gloss also.

Home we went with all my goodies and with me have just the basic ideas of how to apply what we had purchased. I only new what to do from watching friends and TV. My husband suggested I watch some videos online to show me how to apply what we had gotten.

I have to say it has not gone to well so far. The mascara that we bought clumped like crazy. The liquid eye liner, I just don't seem to have the patients fo,r as I am a perfectionest. The powder we bought makes me look too pale and the gloss I think is too red.

But I have not given up. My wonderful friend at work has given me the confidence to proceed without knowing it. The first day when I came into work with makeup on. She told me that she did not want to hurt my feelinsg but that I looked better with the make up. So to her I thank you.

My journey is not done, I am now onto my next try at mascara I bought a new brand(revlon) and a comb, so hopefully no more clumps. Hopefully this site reviews with help me on the way.
