The application of the right color of eye shadow can certainly make a difference. Experiment with different colors and textures. This will help you find out which color suits you the best and which eye shadow you should select for yourself. The powder eye shadow is more populatr than the pressed one beacsue it is easy to use and blend. 

You should also keep in mind that the light eye shadow colors highlight the area, whereas the dark colors make recede the same. 

·         Usually there are three colors that are commonly used. Those are the lightest, the medium and the darker shades.

·         Application of the lightest color helps your eyes look more open and also brighten your eyes.

·         The medium color eye shadow adds a slight depth to the look of your eyes.

·         Application of the darker color and the contrasting color give both depth as well as the shape to your eyes.

Smoky Eye Look:

If you want to give your eye a dark appearance without the hassle of black eye shadow then apply a black pencil inside the lower eye and create the new smoky eye look. Smudgy Effect

·         Apply eye shadow right over the eyelid. Then draw a thin line of eyeliner on the upper lid, close to the lashes. You can use a soft tipped eye pencil over the line to create a smudgy effect.
