high end and drugstore makeup- splurge or save?
I love high end makeup as well as drugstore makeup, but I know that not everyone is okay with splurging on makeup. But, I also know that some products NEED to be splurged on and some are not worth the extra cash. Splurge or Save?
Foundation- Depending
I have a pretty normal skintone. Light/Medium skin with golden undetones, and I have found pretty many options at the drugstore that work great for me. But, if you have more of a complex skintone high end places may have more options for you.
Eyeliner- Splurge
Some of the best eyeliners I have used are Urban Decay and Smashbox. They stay on all day(even on my waterline!) and I can trust them not to smudge, smear, or fade.
Eyeshadow- Both
Since every color of the rainbow is packed into an eyeshadow of some sort, it really depends if your going to go high end or drugstore byt the color. You may find a color you LOVE at the drugstore, or may have to go to Sephora.
Concealer- Save
Since concealers can work fine if they are close to your skintone(instead of exact, like a foundation), you can probably get away with a grugstore product.
Blush- Both
Every shade of peach, pink, plum, orange, you name it can be found in a blush. More basic shades like shimmery pinks and light roses can be bought at the drugstore, but more complex shades like medium matte plums and pinks with gold reflex probably have to be a high end brand. It really depends on the shade you are looking for.
Bronzer- Spluge
Bronzers are a touchy product. it really depends on your skintone to know what bronzer to go for. I found high end products are probably your best option.
Primer- Splurge
Since primers are the base of your makeup and you want them to really work well, I think that high end products will offer the best canvas for your makeup.
Mascara- Save
You have to through out your mascaras out every 2-4 months, so it is NOT worth buying an expensive mascara. You can find GREAT options at the drugstore!

Foundation is depending. I have drugstore liquid (Covergirl Queen Collection Natural Hue) and a splurge powder (M-A-C Studio Fix poweder foundation) and the combination is AWESOME. I don't wear eyeliner all the time so I chose to save on that. And I agree with saving on Mascara. Drugstores have GREAT mascaras :)

So lucky :o I've been having awesome results with tarte TM. I guess I don't really splurge on eye liner though.

Mine is the exact same! You should splurge on a good foundation that's not too expensive though
