review of tarte products
so i went on a recent sephora adventure and decided to go with a brand ive never bought from. my pick was tarte. the idea of completely vegan and an awesome quality of products just drew me in. i couldnt resist. i decided to buy the tarte smooth operator and a tarte value kit that included an illuminating serum, highlighter powder (which is B-E-A-utiful by the way), double ended shadow stick, amazonian clay bluch in glisten, and a lipsurgence.
first ill talk about the kit.
it does last a long while but i wish my kit came with a different color. the kit comes with glisten and its a very pretty color but theres big chunks of glitter in it. besides that, i will continue to use until it runs out. the colors are so pretty and i wish i owned them all!
highlighter:
well i just looked on line for this photo and its actually bronzer but the color my kit came with is so light, its like a champagne color with dainty gold specks. so pretty. i use this as my high lighter down the bridge of my nose and my cheek bones.
lipsurgence:
the first lipsurgence above shown comes in the kit. the color is frisky. its an adorable pink the has gold shimmer infused in it. its so very moisturizng! perfect for dry lips. and just like the blush, there are so many colors.
smooth operator illuminating serum:
this stuff is amazing. for women who need the least amount of coverage known to man, this could be used as a TM with a little bit of powder. but personally, i LOVE it as an under eye concealar because it has tiny light reflecting particles. you cna mix it in foundation for a subtle glow or put it under the brow bone or on your cheek bones. i can list about 20 more things this can be used for. amazing product.
double ended eye shadow pen:
i cant find a pic for this. ironically so, its my least favorite product that was included and its really annoying. i wanted to snap it in half haha.. one side is white shimmer and the other side is lilac color. you can hardly get any color on your lids. who knows.. maybe im using it wrong??
now for the grand finale.

where to start... this is my new everyday foundation/TM (it can be both for me)
color; my color is agent 04 i think X) i forget and i swear, if you get a color thats a little too dark or to light, it will self adjust to your skin tone and look PERFECT!!! so dont fret. they can run from neutral to yellow undertones, but i dont think they have many pink undertones.
consistency; honestly, when it comes out of the tube, it reminded me of cottage cheese, but just rub it into your cheek and it turnes into a soft cream. very much like a moisturizer. i havent had a problem with it separting but i heard they have an expiration date so watch for that.. not too dewy and not matte. just skin.
application; it applys very nicely, just like a moisturizer ^^^ doesnt dry too fast or too slow. definately wear a moisturizer or primer before. its best applied with clean fingers. i feel like a brush makes it look funky.
coverage; now, if you have heavy scarring and usual breakouts, you might get annoyed with this. im slowly getting my skin back to normal and this couldnt have been more of a godsend. it has NEVER broken me out so if youre recovering, this is perfect. i can make it sheer or moderate depending on the coverage i need that day.
finish; like a second skin. i sometimes forget im wearing makeup ;D my goal haha. i have a healthy glow but not a disco ball. its not really dewey and not matte. just normal! i think it would be suitable for any skin type. i feel like for me, it lasts all day, but i dont have oily skin. it does not turn orange at all either.
price; 36 dollars
packaging; tube with screw top. you can get every last drop out!
conclusion; why not? haha the ingredients are to die for, and whats not in it is just as delightful! i love it and its so low maintence and perfect for a low key day. i will definately buy again. totally worth the 36 dollars.

I have four or so of the LipSurgence glossy lip stain pencils. They don't STAIN as much as some products, but they look great and wear more evenly and are way less drying.

I love Tarte Products too. The amazon clay brush is amazing as is the shimmering powder. I however am currently in love with the Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara. Review coming very soon!

I love Tarte products. They are of a really high quality. For your sparkly powder, but some on your arms. I have Urban Decay sparkling powders. They look great with a tan. I use Tan Towels for sunless tanning. The Urban Decay colors are silver and honey. Carole VonAllten
